    1. Yes, there is, but perhaps the translation will not make sense of the idiom.
Here are three of my favorite idioms:
-Get up from the left foot.
-Making a big deal out of a molehill.
-Looking for a needle in a haystack.

  3. I believe that idioms are important in every language, because without them our speech would be boring. Some of them are:
    -"the soul is plowed",
    -"the world is small",
-"make an elephant out of flies",
-"they look like 2 drops of water",
-"spin like a squirrel in a wheel",
-"play with fire", "pull yourself together ". These expressions make speech lively, vivid, accurate.

I have a favorite idiom. In English, this translates as: "Do not dig a hole for another, you will get into it yourself." It seems to me that this is very important in society and in relations between people. It is not necessary to substitute another person, because you yourself can be in his place. Everything in this world comes back, there are many idioms for this case. "The earth is round" is important for everyone to remember. I recently found out that there are analogs of these idioms in English. "He who harbors evil catches evil. and swearing like "chickens are coming home to roost" In translation into Russian sounds unusual and even funny, but they make no less sense.
