Do you ever throw away food at home? Have you ever thought about what happens to the food that shops and supermarkets don’t sell? Well, you might be shocked to find out that approximately one third of food produced for human consumption gets lost or wasted. What’s more, around 800 million people in the world do not have enough food to lead a healthy life.
Would you eat at a food waste café, or buy from a food waste supermarket?

I'm not sure of my opinion on this. On the one hand, it really helps poor people who cannot provide themselves with food. But I am afraid that the product may be spoiled, and then there may be health problems. Perhaps I think so because I have not encountered such organizations. But right now I wouldn't be able to eat at a food waste cafe or buy food waste at a supermarket.
ОтветитьУдалитьI have a bad attitude towards food waste, because I think that it is unhealthy. Many diseases can arise from food waste, because germers develop there. I would not eat in a cafe or restaurant that uses food waste. I believe that cafe employees should throw away all food waste so as not to harm people. Also, I don’t prefer buying food waste from the supermarket.
ОтветитьУдалитьThis is a global problem. Not all people think about how much food they throw away and what harm it does to the environment. In Dagestan, people really like to eat. I have always noticed that in different situations, waste is handled differently. In the villages, meat leftovers are given to dogs and cats. Bread, vegetables and fruits for livestock. It was like that in my childhood. Now my grandmother gives everything to the birds, I was surprised, but they eat everything. I don't know how it affects their health, but it definitely looks strange. In the city, people usually throw out spoiled food. But often they can cook something from not quite bad products yet. In general, Dagestani people are enterprising and can figure out what to do with bad food. And in local public catering, food is simply thrown away and written off. Or, in secret, good and untouched food is eaten by hungry waiters. Personally, I will not object to the use of food waste. Firstly, my health allows me to eat such food. Secondly, I'm not squeamish. I would like to note that all this is individual, someone can't even tolerate fallen apples, and some people eat completely spoiled products calmly. But I think food should be appreciated. And if you can cook something out of it and be sure that everything will be fine with you, then go for it. I would prefer to go to a restaurant where they cook from food waste, I think it's cheap and still restaurants need a reputation and they won't openly poison you. And I would calmly go and buy such food in supermarkets. It seems to me that this would be a great idea for business in Dagestan. There are a lot of starving families and problems in our region. We need to help our native land. And that's the small thing we can start with.
ОтветитьУдалитьHunger is a huge problem for all humanity. Every day from 12 to 20 thousand people die of hunger on earth. It is very disappointing that so few countries are trying to prevent this.
ОтветитьУдалитьBased on this text, I learned that Great Britain is one of the countries that is not indifferent to the fate of its citizens. A cafe in Leeds is the best thing that could be created to prevent hunger among residents. Thus, they find a way to use discarded supermarket products.
I am glad that such methods of preventing hunger and the use of food waste are being created on earth.
I agree with Madina Magomaalieva. It very important problem for humans.

ОтветитьУдалитьOh, I didn't know that there are such cafes that make it possible to use of thrown-out food that is quite edible. And as Raisat says, yes, it would be good if such cafes would also start opening in our country, and of course, as far as possible, I would also take part in such events. When creating such cafes, I see only positive sides:it is possible to feed poor citizens and protect nature from harm.
ОтветитьУдалитьYes, I would eat in a cafe with food waste or buy food waste in a supermarket.because I don't think that employees of a cafe or supermarket can intentionally feed people with spoiled, expired products (although there may be exceptions in very small percentages). I sometimes feel very sorry to see how wealthier people throw away food that is suitable for nutrition. They could give them to people in need or feed the animals.
It seems to me that if these supermarkets and restaurants operate on an open platform and if they are confident in the harmlessness of their goods, then I consider it quite normal to eat and shop in such enterprises. And in the end, the same reasonable people will not sell spoiled products.
ОтветитьУдалитьI would not buy or order such food, because I am very picky about food and I don't think that this kind of food will give me pleasure. However, I understand the importance of this type of food, since a lot of food is simply thrown away and people should pay more attention to what they eat
